Kick-Ass star Aaron Johnson could be Avengers 2’s Quicksilver

According to The Wrap, Aaron Taylor-Johnson is a frontrunner for the coveted role of Quicksilver in The Avengers sequel, The Avengers 2.

Johnson’s sequel to the 2010 hit Kick-Ass, Kick-Ass 2, is set to release this August.

Director Joss Whedon is introducing both Quicksilver and his sister Scarlet Witch into the anticipated sequel.

Nothing has been signed yet for the role. Marvel is still negotiating with Iron Man‘s Robert Downey Jr. for The Avengers 2. The other superheroes have been confirmed to return for the sequel – Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, and Jeremy Renner.
