The Deus Ex: The Fall gameplay for smartphones and tablets looks quite good

I prefer console and PC gaming compared to gaming on the smartphone or tablets, but since I’m a big fan of the Deus Ex franchise, I might have to bite the bullet when Deus Ex: The Fall comes out for mobile and tablet devices. I was surprised to see that the graphics still hold up. As for playing a first-person RPG shooter using the touch screen, I’m a big maybe on that.

Below is a video showcasing gameplay footage and the touch screen implementation.

The year is 2027, and you’ll be playing Ben Saxon, a former British SAS mercenary with augmented powers. He gets back-stabbed by his military employers, the Tyrants, and it’s up to him to stop them and unravel the truth about the drug conspiracy. The game will have “exploration, action, hacking, stealth, social enhancers, player choice, and consequence,” according to Jean-François Dugas, the executive game director at Eidos-Montréal.

Deus Ex: The Fall will be available for the mobile and tablet devices this summer and will retail for $6.99. The game will be a first in a series for the mobile market.
