World of Warcraft film begins filming early 2014

Sam Raimi was originally set to direct the Warcraft film. That didn’t go too well, since we have Duncan Jones (Moon) now attached to direct the film based on Blizzard’s fantasy property. After that, news have been slow for the project, until now.

Producer Charles Roven has told /Film that filming will begin in early 2014.

“First quarter 2014 we’re going to shoot that movie. We’re moving forward; obviously Legendary is making that film and I’m having a great time with Duncan.”

So it’s looking like their plan of having the movie be released in 2015 may happen. I’m just really hoping that the Warcraft movie will finally give us an awesome and epic video game to film adaptation.
