Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- announced to be in development
At last the long wait is almost over. Arc System Works this weekend announced that a brand new Guilty Gear title is officially coming after years of speculation, theories, and vague responses from the original developers. The reveal was made during their Arc System Works Festival, a fan oriented event celebrating the history of ASW and their games.
Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- is the newest chapter in ASW’s legendary franchise, and the first brand new fighting game entrant since Guilty Gear XX Accent Core and Midnight Carnival. The reveal came in the form of a trailer that shows series protagonists Sol Badguy and Ky Kiske duking it out in glorious 2.5D animation, courtesy of the Unreal Engine, and accompanied by a rocking heavy metal soundtrack. Daisuke Ishiwatari, the creator of the series and the original voice actor for Sol Badguy, will be taking his seat once again as director of the game. Also shown at the end of the trailer is Milia Rage, sporting a brand new look, and a brief glimpse of Zato-1/Eddie.
Check out the trailer below and prepare yourselves for an all new era of hype! Heaven or Hell! LET’S ROCK!
