Adam Orth resigned from Microsoft? Whaaat?

Well well well, if this isn’t karma then I don’t know what is. Remember Adam Orth? He’s Microsoft Creative Director for their next-gen console who pretty much insulted more than half of America on his tweets. According to sources close to Orth, they informed Kotaku that he had just recently resigned from the company.

“Resigned you say? So he wasn’t fired?” are probably some of the questions that you’re asking, and yes he resigned. We can all pretty much speculate that he was possibly forced to resign after Microsoft had to post a public apology in lieu of his negative Twitter responses. Americans were trying to argue that “always online” for the next-gen console wasn’t such a hot idea to Mr. Orth, but he had other asinine responses instead.

If you missed it, Microsoft apologized by stating that, “This person is not a spokesperson for Microsoft, and his personal views do not reflect the customer centric approach we take to our products or how we would communicate directly with our loyal consumers.” Also, If you don’t know what occurred, here’s a screenshot from one of his Twitter arguments.

Even though this man wears glasses and looks smart, his responses sound like he’s been drinking lead paint since he was a child. Apparently “no common sense” and “arrogance” are his AXE body sprays. Anyway, after this whole debacle I still hope that Microsoft doesn’t keep the always-online idea. Most Xbox Live fans have already spoken against it and we can only hope that there aren’t anymore Adam Orths in their company. Did you know that if you say Orth 4x in a row he appears in your house and grants you Internet connection? Just kidding. In closing I’d like to leave you with this gem of a meme.
