DayZ coming to PlayStation 4?!

Over the past few months or so, me and a few of the other NR guys have jumped onto the DayZ bandwagon. It’s an experience that has left us exhilarated and at sometimes just downright frustrated. Big news came out today when The Escapist sat down with DayZ creator Dean Hall. During their interview the DayZ developer revealed that he had recently met with Sony and they are very interested in bringing the title over to the console side.

“Certainly I think if we don’t, for want of a better word ‘f**k up,’ the PC release then I would say a console port is almost certain. I know a lot of people get really hot and bothered about it. Like, I’m not a console gamer, I’m a PC gamer, but I don’t think it necessarily has to hurt things.”

“It appears to be the kind of game that Sony are interested in, I think we just have to wait and see. We’ve talked and met with Sony, and they’re very – you know, they’re obviously interested.”

Hall says that at the moment there’s not a console port in development, but that could change once the game is finally released for the PC. Chances are if there was it would more than likely make its way to PlayStation 4, if Sony is in fact interesting in the game title. Stay tuned.
