Gary Oldman cast in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

Gary Oldman has just been cast in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, sequel to Rise of the Planet of the Apes. It is reported that Oldman will be a character named Dreyfus and is leader of the human resistance movement. This movie will take place 15 years after the last film with the apes taking over the world. Andy Serkis will return as leader of the primates – Caesar. Jason Clarke (Zero Dark Thirty) was recently cast as the lead protagonist in the sequel.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes opens in theaters on May 23, 2014.
