New Need for Speed: Most Wanted DLC

Terminal Velocity Porsche 918Criterion always knows how to keep you coming back for more. If you haven’t been paying attention to your latest Need for Speed game because you’ve been playing Assassin’s Creed, Black Ops 2, or insert game here, it’s time to come back and do some wilder driving. The latest DLC to hit the PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE Marketplace (Origin March 13) will get you several new vehicles and the new Fairhaven International Airport. Now, unless your system downloads updates for you, you’re first going to load up the game and download a 2GB update! The update will give you a taste of some of the new mods that will be available to purchase.

Need for Speed Most Wanted Terminal Velocity is 1200 MS points or $14.99. This DLC adds the new Hughes International Airport to race, jump, and make burnout donuts until the cows come home. This pack also gives players 136 new multiplayer milestones, 10 new multiplayer speedlists, 40 new billboards, 8 new achievements and more. You also get the new Jump Nitrous mod to jump through and over everything. This pack also includes five new vehicles as well.

  • Porsche 918 Spyder 2013
  • BMW 1 Series M Coupe 2012
  • Audi RS3 2012
  • Ford Fiesta ST 2012
  • Alfa Romeo Mito QV 2012

Need for Speed Movie Legends is 800 MS Points or $9.99. This DLC is centered on letting you to tear it up all over Fairhaven in some iconic rides from the some well known movies. You will also get 8 new single player sprint events, 136 new multiplayer milestones, 50 new license plates. The vehicles in this pack include:

  • James Bond’s Aston Martin DBS 2008 and Aston Martin DB5
  • Smokey’s Pontiac Firebird Trans-Am Special Edition 1977
  • The Fast & Furious Dodge Charger R/T 1970
  • Gone in 60 Seconds’ Shelby GT500 1967

Heroes Nissan BMW

Need For Speed Heroes is 800 MS Points or $9.99. This is probably my favorite DLC, but I wish they included a few more cars. The Speed Heroes pack has five iconic vehicles from previous Need for Speed games going as far back as NFS III all the way to NFS Undercover. Along with the new rides you also get 8 new high intensity Races and Speed Runs, 25 new liveries, and 136 new multiplayer milestones. The speed heroes in this pack include:

  • Lamborghini Diablo SV from Need for Speed III Hot Pursuit
  • Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34) from Need for Speed Underground
  • Nissan 350Z from Need for Speed Underground 2
  • Porsche 911 GT2 from Need for Speed Undercover
  • BMW M3 GTR from the 2005 Need for Speed Most Wanted

Deluxe DLC Bundle is 2000 MS Points or $24.99. If you can’t decide what pack you like, or if you want them all, then you can get the deluxe pack. The deluxe will give you everything from Need for Speed Most Wanted Terminal Velocity, Need for Speed Movie Legends, and Need for Speed Heroes.

Just remember that you have to download the 2GB update before you can pick up any of the new vehicles or play in the new airport. The great part about the update is that you do get a sample of the new mods for all the vehicles you currently have in your game. After the update is done you will have three new races added to each of the vehicles. Only one race will be available without purchasing the new DLCs, but after you pickup up a gold rating, you’ll have one new mod for the chassis called RAM. This mod reduces damage taken from font impacts. When you go Pro it will lessen the speed lost in traffic collisions. If you want to see what this DLC has to offer take a look at the video below.
