The Mad Max Trilogy heads to Blu-ray June 4th

With all the bad press that Mel Gibson is receiving, I can always count on his old movies to remind me of happier times. It was a time where he killed Jet Li underwater, a time where he fought for Scottish freedom, a time where he sang with Pocahontas, and a time that he knew what women wanted.

His claim to fame was his role in Mad Max, and now we’re going to see the release of the Mad Max Trilogy Blu-ray set on June 4, 2013, for $49.99. The set includes Mad Max, Mad Max The Road Warrior, and Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome. They will also be available separately, making Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome a newcomer for Blu-ray.

No details have been revealed for the extras and content, but here are the Blu-ray cover arts.

And if you can’t get enough of Mad Max, we’re going to be seeing a reboot next year called Mad Max: Fury Road starring Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron and Nicholas Hoult.
