Diablo III Patch 1.0.7 is now live

Patch 1.0.7 has finally gone live in the Americas, introducing among other things PvP, something that players have been anxiously waiting for since day one.

The PvP section is being classified as Brawling, and allows for up to four players to take part in a Free-For-All to simply bash each others faces in. Speaking to the appropriate NPC will transport players to the PvP zone, where they can duke it out to their hearts content. Death is not permanent, even on a Hardcore character, and gear does not take durability loss when defeated, so you and a couple friends can beat the ever-loving crap out of each other as much as you want.

While you don’t get any real rewards for participating in Brawling, it can be theorized that Blizzard is using this to test the balance between classes before they continue on with development of the Team Deathmatch portion, which has been in development Hell since the game’s launch. Fingers crossed, guys.

Other notable details include a literal truckload of buffs to the Monk class, new crafting materials and recipes, the introduction of Monster Power to public games, as well as some quality of life fixes like increased pick-up radius and  making the Reflect Damage affix on monsters less of a massive roadblock for many characters.

You can check out all the details on the battle.net page here.
