Still waiting for Kingdom Hearts 3? Let ‘Disney Infinity’ fill that void

Oh Square Enix…why the hell are you torturing me and the millions of Kingdom Hearts fans out there? I just want a true console sequel. I’m tired of these smaller portable side-games that you guys keep on pumping out. They may be fun games to play, but Kingdom Hearts 3 they are not. How hard is it to count 3? 1, 2…..3! See, wasn’t that easy?

For those of you who are tired of waiting, it looks like we might have something to fill in that void. Disney will be releasing a game called Disney Infinity. Like the Kingdom Hearts franchise, Disney Infinity will combine Disney characters from all over and put them all together in the video game world (Pixar characters are also included in the mix).

The game is also like Skylanders, a very successful franchise from Activision, where real toys that you get will be transported into the gaming world. The Starter Set includes Captain Jack Sparrow, Sulley, and Mr. Incredible as they take on bad guys and go on missions. Sorry Skylanders, but I love my Disney characters.

There is another mode called the Disney Infinity “Toy Box”. In this mode, you’ll be able to create your own world filled with toys, characters, buildings, weapons, gadgets and more.

Check out the announcement trailer below.

Since we’re not getting Kingdom Hearts 3 any time soon, ‘Disney Infinity’ will have to do. The game will be available summer of 2013 for the PS3, Wii, Wii U, Xbox 360, and Nintendo 3DS.

Oh, and Tetsuya Nomura, quit working on the Final Fantasy XIII series!
