Jaleel White returns as the voice of Sonic the Hedgehog in an awesome fan-made film by BlueCoreStudios

UntitledI’ve been in Vegas for a week covering CES, taking a look at upcoming technology including TVs, computers, and dozens of other devices, and the one thing I was behind on was gaming news like Pokemon X/Y and videos. Well thanks to Dorkly.com I stumbled upon a fan-made video set in the Sonic the Hedgehog universe.

An 18-minute video that features tons of CGI and live action scenes, the video introduces a whole new light to the hedgehog, who is only known as the “Blue Blur” for most of the video taking down the robots of the evil Robotnik, and helping those in need.

The video is totally worth a watch, and the CGI is pretty amazing, featuring a Sonic 2000 style. The best part is that Jaleel White returns to give Sonic his voice, which he hasn’t done in almost 13 years when he did both Sonic the Hedgehog cartoons and the odd Sonic Underground cartoon. He is much older than he was back when he did the voice, so there are some noticeable changes.

Too bad Sonic didn’t use the phrase, “I’m waiting,” and a few others he was known for back in the 90s cartoons, but it’s still worth it.
