So you can maybe, kind of, get a role in Captain America: Winter Soldier

How big of a Captain America fan are you? Are you willing to pay money to have a role in Captain America: Winter Soldier? There’s a charity auction where one lucky bidder and a guest will get a nonspeaking walk-on role. The charity is being run by Charity Buzz, and proceeds go towards Toluca Baseball.

Having read the rules, it looks like nothing is guaranteed. And the crappiest part is that they’re not even treating you out. You’ll have to take care of your own traveling and lodging. That can be a problem since the set location can be anywhere. Another bad thing is that you might not be able to meet the director or actors. Just imagine ending up on the 2nd unit set. And your not even guaranteed to be in the final movie, since the director has control of what stays in the movie and what’s cut.

This walk-on role is a nonspeaking role and can be redeemed between April 2 and June 30, 2013. The award is valid for two people. Both participants must be 18 or older. Availability is based on production schedule. A meet and greet will be arranged with the actors that are filming during your set visit day. Cannot guarantee meet and greet with any specific actors. It is possible filming may take the full day so please plan accordingly. We cannot guarantee the scene in which you participate or your performance in that scene will make the final editor’s cut. While on the set, please follow any rules or guidelines communicated to you by the production staff. Airfare, transportation and accommodations not included. Cannot be returned or exchanged. Cannot be resold or re-auctioned. To be scheduled at a mutually agreed upon date. Winning bidder and guest(s) subject to security screening. We expect all winning bidders and their guests to conduct themselves appropriately when attending an experience won at Charitybuzz. Polite manners and respect for the generous donor and adherence to any rules or parameters are a must.

But hey, at least it’s for a good cause, right?
