PS Plus coming to PlayStation Vita November 19th

Mark it on your calendar Vita owners, because the new software update V2.00 will add PS Plus. A few months ago Sony announced on the PlayStation Blog that it would bring PS Plus to the Vita. Just like the PlayStation 3 service, user will receive free games, free demos, online storage, and much more. Today we received more details about what lucky Vita owners will be receiving:

  • Four free games per month
  • Discounted titles
  • Free demos
  • Cloud storage for game saves

At the launch of the service, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Gravity Rush and Chronovolt will be available. For cloud storage, an additional 1GB of storage will be added. And if you share your PSN account on both the Vita and PlayStation 3 (and why wouldn’t you?), you can expect this to land November 19th in North America, and November 20th in Europe.

The V2.00 update will also bring some nice improvements and features to the Vita. A brand new mail app will be available that will allow you to set up most email accounts. The Content Manger has been improved, providing 1080P playback and close caption. Last, the browser has also received some HTML-5 and Java improvements.
