Power Morphicon 2012 starts this weekend with special appearance by David Yost, the Blue Ranger

Jason David Frank, AKA Tommy the Green/White Ranger, is a fan-favorite for Power Rangers fans. His Q&A panel at Power Morphicon 2010 packed the house, and that’s why it’s sad to hear that he won’t be able to make it to this year’s con, which is being held on August 17-19, 2012 in Pasadena, CA. To ease the pain, he has donated a bunch of autographed prints of himself as the Green and White Ranger to Power Morphicon. Lucky attendees will get his signed photo randomly via the attendee gift bag. Gee, I hope I get one.

For me, the biggest attraction for this week’s Power Morphicon 2012 is the special appearance by David Yost, AKA Billy the original Blue Ranger. He will be having a panel on Saturday and will be giving away prizes and limited autographs. I wonder if he’ll touch upon the controversy that surrounded his sexual orientation during his time on the Power Rangers set.

Another guest who’s on my radar is Ernie Reyes, Jr. He’s [email protected]#$%ing Keno! I was a big fan of his when Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: Secret of the Ooze came out. Hell, I even enjoyed him in Surf Ninjas. You can’t beat the premise; a teenager learns martial arts thanks to the portable Sega Game Gear system. I can’t make this shit up. Also watching Tone Lōc surfing was worth the price of admission.

There are other plenty of guests in attendance including Johnny Yong Bosch, AKA Adam the Black Ranger from the first Power Rangers movie, Ichigo from Bleach, and Vash the Stampede from Trigun.

Check out the rest of the guest list and ticket information at the Power Morphicon site.
