SDCC 2012: Psych roundtable interview

Due to time constraints, we were not able to get the whole list of guests, but we were able to talk to producers and some of the main cast. I wished we had more time to interview everyone as well as having a better audio recorder. So due to those facts, I can just give you a small tidbit of what was covered and what is planned for the future of Psych.

The first guests were executive producers Kelly Kulchak and Chris Henze. The first question asked was how many seasons they were planning to do. They didn’t have a number they can think of, but the found this show fun to work on and the crew is fun to work with. They also hinted about an upcoming episode where most of the cast will be heading to “Mexico”. The episode was actually shot in Vancouver; which was made interested due to some foul weather occurring. Another dropped hint was that Shaun and Gus will be joining a circus and may be part of Cirque du Soliel.

Next up were Tim Omundson (Carlton Lassiter) and Maggie Lawson (Juliet O’Hara). Both were asked what their most anticipated episode was, with both answering the 100th episode. Apparently it will pay homage to the movie Clue and will have lots of cameos from the original cast of the movie. One question that was asked directly to Tim Omundson was what his favorite thing to do on the show is. He said, “Shooting my gun, flashing my gun, holding my gun, and loading my gun.”

Finally, we had a chance to speak with Kirsten Nelson (Chief Karen Vick) and Corbin Bernsen (Henry Spencer). When asked what their most anticipated episode was, they took a quick look and they answered with the 100th episode as well. They too enjoyed working with the original cast of Clue. They also said that they had fun doing an upcoming musical episode, which is supposed to be a two part episode.

One question that was asked to each and everyone of them, was how they felt about Canada. They all answered that they loved filming in Canada.
