Marvel: Ant-Man, The Wolverine, and X-Men sequel

We’ve got some Marvel movie news for you including Ant-Man, The Wolverine, and the X-Men: First Class sequel.

Latino Review , the guys responsible for the Guardian of the Galaxy scoop, has dug up some news about the release date and film shooting of Edgar Wright’s Ant-Man. Ant-Man will begin production in London once Thor: The Dark World finishes production this summer. With the Ant-Man film starting production soon, it’s highly likely that the movie will be out in 2014.

X-Men: Days of Future Past

Geekscape found a Russian website that has new information for the upcoming X-Men: First Class sequel (okay, so it doesn’t look reliable). According to the site, the title for the new movie is going to be X-Men: Days of Future Past, a comic book storyline by Chris Claremont about future Kitty Pryde going back into the present time to warn the X-Men about a horrible future filled with Sentinels enslaving mutants.

Since this is a sequel to the X-Men prequel, I wonder if the story will have Kitty Pryde from the present time going back into the past. From film continuity, we’ve already seen the X-Men in the present time with no Sentinels in sight. So I’m guessing it’ll just focus on mutant internment camps.

Film Business Today, has confirmed the rumor that the continuation of the “First Class” was the official name of X-Men: Days of Future Past. The company Twentieth Century Fox CIS successfully managed the transfer of title:

“X-Men: Days Of Future past”

X-Men: Days of Future Past is scheduled to be released on July 18, 2014.

The Wolverine

Production for The Wolverine has already begun, and here’s footage on the set just following Hugh Jackman’s excitement via his Twitter posts. The set is being shot on location at Kurnell of New South Wales, Australia.
