E3 2012 Day 0: Sony – We came, We ate, and We danced

Day 0 started with our badge pickup and trying to get ino the Sony Press Conference. We didn’t know there were shuttles to the conference located close to the badge pickup, So we walked 2.5 miles and we waited in line to get our tickets in. We were granted our tickets 30 minutes before the show started. But before we went in to the press conference, we were treated with lots of different food trucks. And boy did we ate like royalty, hopping from one food truck to another (They were all delicious). Sony knows how to treat its attendees, and they also know how to throw an after party! But that’s later on in the article. First is the conference.

There were just a few things I liked about the Sony Conference, and those were Last of Us, God of War: Ascension, Beyond Two Souls, Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation (more info here), and the naval battle of Assassin’s Creed III. The other writers will be talking about those in detail. So look out for those articles. But these were the games that amazed me during Sony’s Press Conference, and I can’t wait to get my hands on them.

Now, the after party was where the night got rockin’. We got in line and waited maybe 30 to 40 minutes. They had hors d’oeuvres and I ordered a drink or two. It was slow for the first hour or so, but when the alcohol started to hit people, it was on like Donkey Kong! People were dancing like they had no care in the world and that is the only way to dance. Not care about who or what people think, just do what you feel like doing.

There were 4 songs that really made the dance floor pop off. Big Punisher’s Still not a Player, LMFAO’s Sexy and I know It, Tupac’s California Love, and the one that really set it off was Cupid’s Cupid Shuffle. There are some pictures that I took, but mostly shot video. I will have those up later once I do some edits. But check out some pics below.

All in all the Nerd Reactor crew had a great time in both Sony events. I cannot wait for next year already. That’s it for tonight, I’ll try and catch some sleep and get ready for Day 1 of E3. Oh, and we just happened to see Zachary Levi as we were walking to our cars. That is one cool dude.
