Anime Expo announces Jessica Nigri, Nobuhiko Okamoto, Ryo Horikawa and Rikiya Koyama as 2012 Guest of Honors

It’s now less than a month away from Anime Expo and they’ve decided to save their big GoH announcements until today on their AX live show. This obviously has caused their website to currently lag, but in any event, let us take a look at some of the big names they have added this year.

Hoodies will be available at AX upon request!

Up first is no stranger to Nerd Reactor, our sexy cosplayng friend Jessica Nigri has been announced as the first guest of honor. Jessica will appear as Max, the AX mecha girl mascot, and also participate in a meet-and-greet, autograph signing and focus panel. Jessica’s love for everything nerdy such as comic books, video games and anime led her to become popular through cosplaying; some of which has been really amazing with her team. She is currently the American live-action Juliet for Lollipop Chainsaw commercials and appearances.

Up next is Nobuhiko Okamoto, who voiced Rin Okumura in Blue Exorcist, Eiji Niizuma of Bakuman, Ivan Karelin a.k.a. Origami Cyclone of Tiger & Bunny, and Accelerator of Toaru Majutsuno Index. He will also be participating in a meet-and-greet, autograph signing and focus panel.

Japanese Dragonball Z fans can be excited with the return of Ryo Horikawa. With more than 28 years of voice acting under his belt, he has done some impressive roles such as Vegeta from Dragonball Z, Andromeda Shun in Saint Seiya, Heiji Hattori from Meitantei Conan, as well as voices in Digimon, Sailor Moon, Trigun and YuYu Hakusho. His resume also includes Captain Falcon in Super Smash Bros. Ryo Horikawa will participate in a meet-and-greet, autograph signing and focus panel.

Fate/Zero fans are getting some special treatment this year, and first up is Rikiya Koyama who voices Kiritsugu Emiya. He is also the current voice of Kogoro Mouri in Detective Conan, as well as Coyote Stark in BLEACH, and Logan/Wolverine in all the Japanese dubbed Marvel adaptions. He also has a large list of video game, anime and TV dubbing roles including Doug Ross (George Clooney) in E.R. Along with the creative staff, Director Ei Aoki, Producers Hikaru Kondo and Atsuhiro Iwakam all plan to share behind-the-scenes stories in the making of “Fate/Zero” with fans at Anime Expo.

Anime Expo will be begin on June 29th and run until July 2nd 2012 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, now with an impressive list of GoH’s.
