Sega hosting a Sonic Boom Party at Comic Con 2012

Last year at E3 2011, Sega showed off the much-anticipated Sonic the Hedgehog game with Sonic Generations. It featured past and present Sonic and was one of the best Sonic titles in recent years.

Last year was also Sonic’s 20th birthday, and Sega made sure to share it with fans by renting out Club Nokia and throwing a huge party that included Sonic hats, Sonic t-shirts, Sonic Generations demo stages, and best of all, Crush 40 performing Sonic hits.

This year Sega will be holding the event during San Diego Comic-Con over at the House of Blues, but tickets will not be free. Instead the tickets will be $20 dollars (which includes a $5 dollar Ticketmaster fee) but will have food and 2 free drink tickets included with everything. Sega has announced Crush 40, along with special guests Jean Paul and Alex Makhlouf from Cash Cash, will be at the event. Sega still has more surprise announcements in store.

You won’t need a Comic Con badge to get in, just a ticket, which goes on sale Monday, March 19th at 10 AM.

As a Sonic fan since Sonic 1, last year’s event was an unforgettable event. There’s no way I will be missing this one.
