The Last Guardian gets aid from God of War dev team

I’m not sure if this is a good thing or bad thing, but Team Ico’s The Last Guardian will be getting help from Santa Monica Studios, the team behind the God of War series. The game has been in development for a long time, and Team Ico has been having some technical issues in trying to complete the game. Because of this, Team Ico is being helped by many different studios.

“Well, you know, it’s not just Santa Monica,” said Yoshida, Sony’s Game Design Chief. “We have great tech people in Worldwide Studios. We have a central tech group in the U.S. and the U.K. so we are giving them whatever help they need. Technically, we have the best engineers in the U.S. and Europe, so these teams are helping them, giving advice.”

There was a rumor that creative director Fumito Ueda left production of the game. Yoshida clears the rumor.

“He never left the team, he’s on top of the game and the team is making progress. But the progress is slow and sometimes the team has to go back and review things.”

Let’s just hope that there won’t be a sex mini-game involving the dog and the boy.
