Mass Effect 3 Voice Cast Lineup Includes IGN’s Jessica Chobot and Freddie Prinze, Jr.

Along with the returning voice cast for Mass Effect 3, two new voice actors join the crew. Jessica Chobot, reporter for IGN, and Freddie Prinze, Jr. (Scooby Doo).

Jessica Chobot plays news reporter Diana Allers (who would have thought?). Her character is modeled after her, and she is definitely looking nice! I hope Shepard can romance her in the game.

Up next is newcomer Freddie Prinze, Jr. Just hearing that name in a Mass Effect game makes me shudder, but let’s give the guy a break. Since when has BioWare’s Mass Effect voice acting steered us wrong?

“I have always loved science fiction and I have always loved games and Mass Effect is really the first time both come together successfully,” said Prinze, Jr. “It is a completely immersive game where you really feel like you’re part of this journey inside this universe. It will make you think, you will care about the character you are playing, and you will care about the characters that you bring into battle with you.”

They’ll be joining the previous Mass Effect voice actors including Martin Sheen as The Illusive Man, Seth Green as Joker, Tricia Helfer as EDI, Yvonne Strahovski as Miranda, Carrie-Anne Moss as Aria, Ali Hills as Dr. Liara T’Soni, Keith David as Captain Anderson, Lance Henriksen as Admiral Steven Hackett, Mark Meer as male Shepard, and Jennifer Hale as femShep.

The Mass Effect 3 demo will be out on Valentine’s Day. Thanks BioWare for making us choose between our significant other or a chance to test this epic sci-fi game. Oh who am I kidding, I don’t have a significant other.

The full game will be out in North America on March 6, 2012 and in Europe on March 9, 2012.
