Daniel Radcliffe Returns to Harry Potter on SNL

SNLOver the weekend, Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe, made his first guest appearance on Saturday Night Live. His guest spot has been receiving less-than-stellar reviews from various outlets, but it seems everyone is really tearing into new artist Lana Del Rey’s performance. Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s Eliza Dushku called her a “wack-a-doodle.” I don’t even know what that means, but it sounds insulting.

Anyway, back to Potter. In his recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Radcliffe hinted at the possibility of a Harry Potter skit.

“I’ve heard Bill Hader do an impression this week of somebody I’ve feel like I’ve been waiting my whole life to hear Bill Hader do an impression of. It won’t take to many guesses for audience members to speculate who that might be but I’ll leave it up to your imagination.

I kind of don’t want to comment on whether there will or will not be Harry Potter sketches yet because they could be cut. So who knows. I sure it will be address but hopefully in a new way then what we’ve seen before. Not extras and not ether of the previous inclinations of Potter on the show.”

In case you didn’t get that, he said Bill Hader will be Professor Snape, that there will be a Harry Potter sketch, and it won’t be as funny as the previous ones.

The sketch takes place after the last film, where everyone has kind of moved on except good ol’ Harry Potter. Bill Hader’s impression of Professor Snape is definitely worth checking out, but this sketch is seriously lacking Lindsay Lohan’s Hermione boobs.

You can check out the video of the sketch along with the Opening Monologue below.
