Trine 2 Launches on PC Now, PSN and XBLA on Dec. 20th and Dec. 21st

Trine 2, the sequel to the most shimmery, glistening, colorful…thing that I’ve ever seen, has increased its gaudy output. I think the technology has something to do with cramming rainbows onto dvds and blu-rays, but developer, Frozenbyte, isn’t giving up their little secret yet.

Aside from glowing like a Fallout 3 creature who makes his home too close to the nuclear test site, Trine 2 is about physics puzzles, platforming and combat. You can choose between three different characters: the knight, thief, and wizard. Each one has special abilities made to get past certain obstacles.

The early Metacritic signs seem to be positive as the PC version currently has a 95 and a 90. One of the reviewers calls it bigger, better and funnier than the original, and if that’s the case, then it should be well worth the $15 price.

Trine 2 is published by Atlus and will be available on PSN on December 20th and XBLA on December 21st. The PC version can be purchased right this moment.
