Chris Evans and ‘The Avengers’ Cast Members to Be at NY Comic Con and New Official Images

We have a couple of official images and a new announcement for Marvel Studios at New York Comic Con.

Recently, Entertainment Weekly released the first Avengers official image, and it didn’t look good at all. It’s a bad Photoshop job, where the characters were edited closer together with their heads looking weird. Finally we get some good official images with Captain America and Thor looking all banged up. It looks like they’re getting ready for another alien invasion.

Here’s a behind-the-scenes image with director Joss Whedon and Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow. The set looks to be the Avengers meeting room.

Marvel Studios has announced today there plans for The Avengers at New York Comic Con. We’ve heard before that NYCC was getting exclusive footage for the movie, but now it’s revealed that Producer Kevin Feige will be presenting with select cast members showing up. The presentation will be held on Saturday, October 15th in the IGN Theater. This will be the first time Marvel Studios will be participating at NYCC, as Chris Evans (Captain America), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Clark Gregg (Agent Coulson), and Cobie Smulders (Agent Hill) will be the select few in attendance.

The Avengers assemble in theaters on May 4th, 2012.
