‘Thor 2’ Will Take the God of Thunder to Other Realms

Want to see Thor (Chris Hemsworth) travel to other worlds? In Thor 2, you will. Kevin Feige, Marvel Studios president, has revealed that the sequel is going fast and that Thor will “take Thor literally to other worlds.” We’ll have to wait for the other worlds when we see Thor team up with the Avengers next year on May 4, 2012.

Kevin Feige expands on that as we’ll get to see the dynamics of the people around him. He says it will “primarily be the journey of that character, of he and Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) and how the new dynamic with his father (Odin, played by Anthony Hopkins) is working out, as well as what are the broader stakes for The Nine Worlds.”

Oh yeah, the Nine Worlds! We’ve already seen Asgard, Jotunheim, and Midgard (Earth).

The other unexplored worlds that we haven’t seen are:

  • Alfheim – Home of the Light Elves.
  • Hel – Realm of the dead.
  • Muspelheim – Home of the Demons.
  • Nidavellir – Home of the Dwarves.
  • Svartalfheim – Home of the Dark Elves.
  • Vanaheim – Home of the Vanir who are the sister race of the Asgardians.

Thor 2 will hit theaters on July 26, 2013.
