Long Beach Comic Con Announces Masquerade Ball

This is for all the SoCal readers, and those who love conventions, Long Beach Comic Con have announced that they will be premiering their own Masquerade Ball. The event was created to extend the fun activities of LBCC to the evening hours. I like it, especially since it’s Halloween weekend after all. The ball will be taking place on Saturday night, October 29, and will be coordinated by Mike Shields.

The Masquerade Ball has been in the works for three years, and promoters Phil Lawrence and Martha Donato have confidence that it will be “a party the likes of which Long Beach has never seen before.” Now that’s a bold statement, and I’m excited.

Mike Shields added with “I look forward to bringing my years of experience working for The Masquerade at San Diego Comic-con here to the Long Beach Comic Con.  We’re going to have a blast.”

There will be prizes for different categories, so be sure to check out the event and cosplay at Long Beach Comic Con, October 29-30, 2011. It will be held at the Long Beach Convention Center in California.
