‘Warhammer 40K: Space Marine’ Boosted by Sonic Mayhem’s Soundtrack

If there’s anything you need while in space blowing Orcs into chunky bits of what used to resemble individual living creatures, it’s an epic soundtrack to hum along to. Warhammer 40K: Space Marine is getting just that thanks to the composer duo, “Sonic Mayhem”, comprised of Cris Velasco and Sascha Dikiciyan. The two have been working on games for quite a long time, providing a bit of aural glee to games like Borderlands, Splinter Cell 4: Double Agent, MAG, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Mass Effect 2’s DLC, “Arrival”, and “Kasumi’s Stolen Memory”, and tons more.

The two composers had this to say about their experience with the game:

SPACE MARINE has been one of the most creatively satisfying projects of our scoring career. This being the first third-person shooter in the WARHAMMER franchise, we were honored to write an original score that lives up to the games’ prestigious history and also pushes the series forward with a bold and fresh sound.

If you want to listen to the soundtrack and make mowing the lawn, showering or doing your laundry more epic, you might want to pre-order the collector’s edition of WARHAMMER 40,000: SPACE MARINE, because the soundtrack will come packed inside. The game will be published by THQ on September 6th for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
