Japan Brought Maid Cafes And Now Irvine Brings…Hero Cafe

Hero Cafe is just as it sounds. It’s a cafe with a Superhero vibe. Fellow Nerd Reactor writer Narvin and I found this place just in front of the 24 Hour Fitness that we go to after work. At first we could only speculate on what kind of place this is, but on Monday they had a sign saying they were open. So, after our workout we decided to check it out. We were met with a locked door, though there were people inside. The first thing we thought was that we were possibly in the wrong area, but luckily for us the owners saw us trying to get in and opened the side entrance. When I got in, the first thing I saw was a frame of a scene from a Captain America Golden Age comic book. As I looked around, I noticed that overall it had the feel of a Golden Age comic book setting.

As we entered we were greeted by the owners and they told us that they were having a “Soft Opening” that day, and that there will be a Grand Opening on Friday. After talking to him, Narvin and I noticed two big LCD screens near the ceiling, facing the main entrance. As soon as we were about to ask, the owner turned on the TV and it showed their “Soft Opening” menu. As he turned around, he told us that he calls this his “Chillin Like a Villain” Menu. Once I heard that, I was glad I came in to check it out. Below you can see what kind of menu the “Chillin Like a Villain” Menu is. Forgive me for the unclear pictures, I had shaky hands at the time.

The Grand Opening is on Friday and some of us folks from NerdReactor are going to there to celebrate this momentous occasion. Now, we do not know if there will be costumed servers or not, but that’s all in the fun. We hope you can join us on this day. The address is posted below.
