Nuke the Fridge presents Jedi Elvis’ Red Cross Benefit Concert

A couple of weeks ago we here at Nerd Reactor were lucky enough to cover Nuke the Fridge presents Jedi Elvis’ Red Cross Benefit Concert.  Guests included Chase Masterson (Star Trek: Deep Space 9), director and producer James Kerwin (Yesterday Was a Lie), Joshua Fardon (voice of Luke Skywalker in the 1996 radio presentation of Return of the Jedi on NPR), Shawn “Obi-Shawn” Crosby (MC Extraordinaire), and Kit Quinn (Comic Impact’s Cosplay Girl of the Year 2010).  The costuming groups Mandalorian Mercs and the So Cal Saber Guild were also in attendance along with Slave Leias Natalie, Victoria, and Crystal.  A wide array of prizes were raffled off donated by the generous vendors of the venue Frank & Sons.  Gentle Giant Ltd also donated items for a silent auction with all proceeds going to the American Red Cross.  The night capped off with grand performance by Jedi Elvis and the Rebel Alliance (also known as Lounge-O-Rama).  The event was able to raise over $1,300 for charity which was well over what coordinators expected to bring in.
