The Lord of the Rings Trilogy Extended Editions to Hit AMC Theaters in June

I’m a huge fan of The Lord of the Rings trilogy, and to hear news that the extended editions of the trilogy are going to be available to watch in AMC theaters gets me all excited like a hobbit smoking the finest pipe weed in the Southfarthing.

These movies are pretty long, so it will test your comfort level in the theater, but I’m sure there’s an intermission in the middle for each movie. The screenings will span three weeks, and the Return of the King screening will come out on June 28, 2011, just in time for the release of the Extended Editions on Blu-ray.
