Expect More Sexy Time and Violence in Walking Dead Season 2

The Walking Dead held a panel at PaleyFest 2011 and discussed about what we can expect on the 13-episode second season this Fall 2011.

The second season will have our survivors escaping the city and going into the countryside. A good portion of the second season will take place in the farm owned by a character named Hershel.

As for more sexy time, Glenn will be getting lucky says Robert Kirkman, comic creator and producer of the Walking Dead.

“Anyone who’s read the comic book knows Hershel has a daughter named Maggie, and Maggie has a relationship with Glenn. That’s something we’re probably gonna do…There will be romances here and there. It’s the end of the world, there’s not a lot to do. People are going to be hooking up from time to time. We’re gonna see some stuff like that in the second season.”

The big difference in the comics and show is that Shane on the show has outlived his comic counterpart. Kirkman had this to say:

“Shane is now existing in stories from the comic book that he didn’t exist in before. Just by having Shane be alive changes everything about the comic. The Hershel storyline is something everybody likes—[there are a] lot of cool moments everybody wants to see. We’re gonna get to see little differences because Shane wasn’t there before and he changes the dynamic of the whole ensemble. It’s going to be really cool.”

Here’s a list of things that we’ll see in season 2:

  • Love triangle between Shane, Rick, and Lori once again.
  • Laurie Holden is confident Andrea will be gettin’ some too.
  • Lori might be pregnant. Who’s the baby’s daddy? Rick or Shane?
  • We will know of the message that Jenner, the CDC scientist, whispered to Rick Grimes.
  • Morgan (Lennie James) and Merle Dixon (Michael Rooker) might be back.
  • New characters will debut (read the comics for hints).
  • Season 2 will start right after the CDC explosion at the end of season 1.

Also, the first season of the Walking Dead is available on Blu-ray tomorrow, and I already pre-ordered it at Amazon.
