Preview: Pokemon Black & White

With the announcement of Pokémon Black and Pokémon White lets take a look at some of the new features in the games.

First off, the game will introduce over 150 never before seen brand new Pokemons for the players to catch to collect. With so many new Pokemons, this will certainly change how the game is played, both in main story and in head to head competitive battle.

Also, the game will introduce a triple battle system. Just as the name suggests, each trainer will be able to send out 3 Pokemon at once to do battle with 3 of your opponent’s Pokemons. The battle system works a little differently than the double and single battle we are used to. Each Pokemon can only hit the Pokemon that is directly in front of it, and the one that is adjacent to the one directly in front of it. So, for example, the one in the middle will be able to hit everyone on the opposing team, where as the left or the right one can only hit the left and the right one respective on top of the middle one.

The newly introduced C-Gear device in Pokémon Black and Pokémon White will revolutionize how we communicate with other plays in real life. With the C-Gear, we can now trade, chat, and exchange friend code much faster and much easier than ever before. The players will always have the option to utilize the C-Gear while playing, allowing for instant access to other players around them, and they can even find out what nearby players are doing in the
game.

Lastly, Black and White will have new Wi-Fi features. Things like random Wi-Fi battle will allow the players to battle random people without exchanging friend code or anything, which opens op more possibility to meet new people and test out the player’s team with.

Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version will launch on March 6 and are now available for pre-order from major retailers throughout North America for a suggested retail price of $34.99 each. A deposit may be required for pre-orders. See individual retailers for details.
