3DS Is NOT for Kids Warns Nintendo

Nintendo has issued a statement warning kids that they should NOT play with the Nintendo 3DS. The age in question is any anyone under 6 years of age. The reason behind this is that if they try to view 3D images, it “has a potential impact on the growth of children’s eyes,” says Nintendo in the statement.

There’s also a warning not just for children, but for everyone playing with the 3DS, and that is to take breaks every 30 minutes. Wait a minute, I didn’t get this warning when watching Avatar in 3D.

Nintendo World 2011 will publicly show the 3DS in Japan on January 8-10 (CES 2011 is also happening on the same weekend). And according to reports, children under 6 will not be able to play. The 3DS will be out in Japan on February 26, 2011 for a measly $300. Wow, that’s like the price of a PS3. Let’s see if the people will buy this up, since the initial price of the PSP when it first came out scared many away.
