Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Food Fight Party & PlayStation vs. Capcom VGA 2010 Viewing Party Gallery & Report

The weekend is over and here’s our gallery and report for Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Food Fight Party and Sony PlayStation vs. Capcom VGA 2010 Viewing Party. Leave it up to Capcom for throwing yet another kick-ass party. No really, Capcom knows how to treat their fans well. Nerd Reactor was given a cool MvC3 apron (How fitting for an event called Food Fight). You get to taste two different types of food, The Hulk Burger and Ryu’s Fireball, and decide which one’s better by voting. The Hulk burger won. Also in attendance was Adam Sessler (G4TV host). He was very friendly towards fans.

The party also had the latest release build for MvC3 for fighting fans to test out, and the fans came out in droves. Some fans we talked to were sad that Tron Bonne wasn’t added yet to this build including writer Chris del Castillo. I didn’t get to play the game, since I was busy waiting in the food line for an hour and a half. Afterwards, I had to jet to the LA Convention Center to do the Video Game Awards 2010 red carpet event.

After the red carpet was over, I headed back to the Kim Sing Theatre, where the party turned into the PlayStation vs. Capcom VGA 2010 Viewing Party. Food of choice was the pulled pork sandwich. Nerd Reactor Writers, Narvin and Jose, sat down on a couch to enjoy the festivities and was greeted by Cyrus (Will Powers), winner of PlayStation’s The Tester Season One. Cyrus picked up a fallen sign that said “VIP” and without a word, gestured Narvin and Jose to leave the area. Sorry guys. Other Tester contestants were there like Amp from season one and Gaymer and Scooter from season two. Amp helped out with a contest by having a lucky fan win a shirt by trying to hit on her with their best lines.

The 2010 Video Game Awards showed off all the cool trailers for many anticipated titles like Batman: Arkham City, Mass Effect 3 and more. The VGAs saved the best for last, as Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception was revealed. The crowd was then greeted by some of the development teams from Naughty Dog, how awesome is that?

Stay tuned for Nerd Reactor’s VGA Red Carpet video coverage as we interviewed Guillermo del Toro about his upcoming game Insane, Tony Hawk, Jennifer Hale (Mass Effect, Metal Gear Solid), James C. Burns (COD: Black Ops), Felicia Day (The Guild) and more. In the meantime, check out our party gallery below.
