Assassin’s Creed Animus Project Update 1.0 DLC Releases Next Month for Free

The guys over at Ubisoft announced today that they will be releasing the free DLC for Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood next month on December 14th, 2010 called The Animus Project Update 1.0. It will be available for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, while the PlayStation 3 currently has the exclusive Copernicus DLC.

It contains a brand new online game mode and map. The game mode Advanced Alliance, which is like the regular Alliance mode with target identification and engagement, will take the difficulty to the next level. With 3 teams of 2 players, it will be a tough test that will reward players with stealth skills for tracking their targets.

The new map is Mont Saint-Michel, which is located in a rocky tidal island in Normandy, France. Don’t get too distracted when you’re on a mission because the scenery is breathtaking. With narrow streets, high-perched bell towers, and multi-leveled buildings, it’s the perfect place for assassins to hide and attack. Free-running and use of the narrow roads will give players an edge for survival.

“We are very thrilled to be able to offer the first Multiplayer DLC for Assassin’s
Creed Brotherhood for absolutely free,” said Sebastien Puel, executive producer,
Ubisoft Montreal. “We wanted to say thank you to our fans for making Brotherhood
such a huge success its opening week. We are very proud of the unique and innovative
Multiplayer mode it offers, and hope the fans enjoy the new content.”

Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood is really good, and brings in the quality for a game that has supposedly been worked on for around a year. I was expecting less for Assassin’s Creed 2.5, but they have proven me wrong. Kudos to Ubisoft!
