Judge Dredd Reboot Gets U.S. Distributor

Just who is Judge Dredd? Well he’s the most toughest and most feared of all the judges. He is the officer, law, and executioner. Somebody has to step up to crime in Mega City One, since it’s the only haven inside Cursed Earth.

The Judge Dredd reboot, which is simply called Dredd, now has Lionsgate handling U.S. distribution. Good for them. The 3D movie project will have a budget of $45 million, with Karl Urban and Olivia Thirlby starring in the lead roles while production will begin on November 12, 2010 in Cape Town, South Africa. Alex Garland (28 Days Later, Enslaved) will be penning it with Pete Travis (Vantage Point) directing.
