Celebrate Halo: Reach by Getting Original Soundtrack Now and Buying the Game at Midnight!

Halo: Reach is just a day away, and to celebrate this momentous occasion, Sumthing Else Music Works, with help from Microsoft Game Studios, has released the Halo: Reach original soundtrack online at their Something Digital Store and on iTunes for downloading. If you rather have an actual CD, you can get the 2-disc CD set on September 28th at retail outlets.

“Mike and I are pleased to be able to release the Soundtrack to Reach,” said composer Martin O’Donnell. “We’ve been composing and producing music for Bungie’s Halo universe since 1999 and this soundtrack represents the culmination of our efforts. Once again we were able to work with other composers C Paul Johnson and Stan LePard, along with recording much of this music at Studio X in Seattle with the Northwest Sinfonia and Choir. This is about 2 hours’ worth of music culled from the more than 5 hours of music actually produced for the game itself. We hope everyone enjoys listening.”

Also, to celebrate the release of Halo: Reach, 25 countries around the world, with over tens of thousands of retailers, will open their doors at midnight, just to sell the game. Major cities will have special midnight events including Seattle, New York, and London.
