Knott’s Scary Farm: Halloween Haunt SoCal Scion Night is Back!

SCION NIGHT IS BACK!!!! Tuesday October 26th, 2010 with the all NEW 2011 SCION TC!

For the past 7 years Southern Californian Scion owners have flooded the streets of downtown Buena Park, where Knott’s Berry Farm is located. One night, out of the 30+, owners and military personnel can experience Knott’s Scary Farm Halloween Haunt for FREE! Attendees of the event participate in a Marine Toys for Tots foundation donation of a $10 unwrapped toy. The proceeds are great, the experience is worth it, and the environment is fantastic.

Last year’s event brought the addition of a meet and greet a couple hours prior to the event which then led to a caravan arriving at Knott;s parking lot, which guaranteed a ticket to the event. Believe it, this event sells out every year so maybe this would be the way to go! This year the caravan is back at the Toyota Speedway at Irwindale starting at 9 AM, and leaving for Knott’s at 12 PM, sharp! For those who can not attend the caravan for a guaranteed ticket, the Knott’s parking lot opens at 3PM and is a first come first serve basis. 12,000 tickets are available and that is being disbursed to both non-scion-owner military personnel and scion drivers/passengers. The event is in the large grass and concrete parking lot at Knott’s and has a host of booths, displays, music, prizes, and games. The gates to Halloween Haunt open sometime around 6PM that night.

As a Scion owner, next door neighbor of Knott’s , and once Halloween Haunt monster, I have some few insider recommendations for you!

  • Arrive on time, either at the caravan meet or for the parking lot at Knott’s.
  • Unwrapped $10 toy per person in a legally belted seat in the car for free admission AND a one per car $15 parking lot fee (both caravan and 3PM gate mongrels)
  • Bring extra cash – TGIF, Chili’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, Claim Jumper, McDonald’s and more are all just a minutes walk away
  • Have a change of clothes or wear jeans and make sure to have a sweater – it gets cold at night!
  • Bring a camera
  • The Fuzz (Buena Park Police) are really attentive and very polite. Please respect the traffic flow and them being there. Buena Park is a small city so they do a really great job in keeping everyone safe; neighbors (like myself) and attendees from all over SoCal.
