4-Player Heist Game – Monaco: What’s Yours Is Mine

Monaco: What’s Yours Is Mine, which won the Independent Games Festival grand prize, has gotten a graphical make-over. The game looked intriguing, even in its past iteration when the graphics were very simple. Now that the graphics are much smoother, it looks like it’ll be easier to see what’s going on.

I love the fact that this is a 4-player cooperative game. The idea of only being able to see what your characters can see is a very cool gameplay feature as well. The purpose of this game is for players to cooperate and get as much cash as possible while avoiding guards, security cameras, and laser security. There are also four different characters you can choose from: The Muscle has more hit-points and explosives, The Hacker hacks computers and uses EMP to take out electronics, The Prowler has thermal vision to see enemies through walls and a smoke bomb to escape, and finally The Locksmith who can open doors much more quickly, and even weld doors shut to prevent guards from coming through.

The developers want to release the game on PC and at least one console in 2011. We’ll keep you updated.

Here’s what the game used to look like:
