Zombies Are Going ‘Oscar’ On Us!

Oscar-Winning Director Barry Levinson, acclaimed for Rain Man, Good Morning Vietnam, and Sphere is reportedly in the works with a zombie themed film, titled The Bay.

The plot is described as “the aftermath of a viral outbreak on the Eastern Seaboard”.  We also know that this will be made in a “found footage” video format; The Last Excorcism, Paranormal Activity, Cloverfield, Diary Of The Dead. This couldn’t be even more true because some of the producers of Paranormal Activity are working closely with this project. Let’s hope Levinson’s directing ability and new “found footage” techniques make for a zombie classic, not a catastrophe.  We can expect The Bay to be released late 2011 or 2012.
