Edward Norton Releases Public Statment On Facebook Fanpage

In recent news, Marvel has opted not to have Edward Norton return as the Hulk in “The Avengers” Movie. As a result, there has been a large amount of support from fans, against Marvel’s decision to remove Mr. Norton as Bruce Banner in the upcoming Mega-Super-Hero-Movie. The actor has released a statement in his own words addressing the situation on his Facebook Fanpage:

“As most of you know, I don’t like to talk much about the business of making movies because it means a lot to me to protect the audience’s fullest enjoyment of the “magic” the films can have.  But I am so appreciative of the outpouring of support from fans of the Hulk and the Avengers that I feel it would be rude not to respond.”

“It seems it won’t work out for me to continue playing Bruce Banner for Marvel in “The Avengers”.  I sincerely hoped it could happen and be great for everyone, but it hasn’t turned out as we all hoped.”

“…I really can’t thank the fans enough for how much enthusiasm you’ve sent my way about what Louis and I tried to do in our turn with the legend.  It means a lot to me.”

This sucks because we just got used to the idea of Edward Norton being the Hulk and now some new actor is going to be brought in to take up the mantel. Rumors have been swirling around that Marvel is interested in Joaquin Phoenix. You know, the guy with the beard, that use to be a good actor, but now wants to be taken seriously as a rapper. Yeah, that guy.

Yeah, I'm not diggin this.
