AX 2010 Anime Music Video Wins with Scares and McDonalds

Anime Music Videos are creative ways for editors to combine their favorite anime and all kinds of music to create something truly entertaining and emotional through comedy, drama, action, or just plain fun. Every year, Anime Expo 2010 holds an Anime Music Video Contest, showcasing the best of the best, and giving the attendees a chance to vote on their favorites. You can check out the winners and their accompanying video.

The winner of the Drama category was “Alchanum” by Rider4z, using the song “See Who I Am” by Within Temptation.

The winner of the Action category was “Spinning Infinity” by NightHawk, using the anime Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann with the song “The Pretender” by Foo Fighters. I thought this was a really cool action video that uses a mainstream song.

The winner of the AMTV Pro category was “This is Halloween” by Hagaren Viper (Caleb Taylor), using the anime Soul Eater and the song “This is Halloween” by Marilyn Manson. Looks like I’m going to have to check out this anime. it has a lot of weird imagery, which I think is sweet.

And last but not least, the winner of best comedy, staff choice, and best of show was “And Now, a Word from Our Sponsors” by Scintilla. The music video uses various animes and the song “Burger Dance (International Remix)” by DJ Otzi. No direct feed available, so enjoy this camera recorded version complete with shouting and screaming.
