This popular anime series follows Kirito as he enters the online realistic video game Sword Art Online (SAO). To enter the game, players use a virtual reality helmet to create and place them in a whole new world of MMO games, where they can be anyone they want. A problem arises when the games creator traps everyone in the game. They are unable to log out, and if somebody forcibly removes your VR helmet or die in the game, they would die for real. [Editor's Note: Reminds me of the Matrix]

Aniplex USA also announced that it will be releasing four English subtitled/English dubbed Blu-ray sets selling for $112.98 each, and the 4 DVD sets cost $49.99 starting in August.

At the Xbox One conference the new reveal trailer and a behind-the-scenes look was shown.

The game will run at 60 FPS and on a brand new engine that helps showcase damage, amazing realism to characters bodies and damage allowing them to highlight everything from small cuts to dirt under fingernails (since you spend a good amount of time looking at your character’s arms). Added to the game will be dogs which will be a big part of the game on your side.

Infinity Ward has also worked with players and the community and will continue to work with them to make the game as successful as the previous games. They’ve been working with the Esports community which has been growing, especially with MLG and the recent Call of Duty World Championships.

I can’t wait until E3 to be able to see more of this title, but for now here is a behind-the-scenes look:

In the last few months the new Xbox console had many names: Durango, Xbox Infinity, Xbox 720. Today it was finally announced as the Xbox One. The Xbox One will feature a 500 GB hard drive, 8 GB of system memory, USB 3.0 ports (unknown currently how many), an 8-core CPU, 64-bit architecture, built-in Wi-Fi and HDMI in/out ports for all your gaming needs.

I really can’t say much on the name, since when I think Xbox One I think the original fat system, but Microsoft wants to make the the ultimate system for you by combining different parts of a Smart TV, DVR, gaming system and PC while allowing you to use the Kinect 2.0 to control everything from the comfort of your couch with only your hands and voice doing all the work.

A huge focus of the press conference was on sports, including an improved partnership with ESPN, and EA having more announcements being held back until E3.

Thanks to the new Kinect Sensor we shall dub Kinect 2.0 for the Xbox One, it will allow you to give voice commands to do just about everything. Life just got easier for your entertainment pleasure. Microsoft added three different operating systems to obtain seamless transitions allowing you to go back and forth with ease.

When Microsoft bought Skype last year it was already guaranteed it would be utilized for the Xbox, and finally it has. The new Xbox One will allow groups to communicate through video calls using the new technology and 1080p camera to make it as painless as possible.

It’s been a long time since I’ve bought a sound system. My last sound system was a Logitech one that I bought more than five years ago. It was a basic sound system that gave some great sounds at the time for the $70 I spent. However, after having upgraded to an HDTV, I found that I needed something with a little more power. High quality surround sound systems were a tad expensive, so I found myself spending more money on surround sound wireless headphones to enjoy my movies, music and gaming. Enter The Genius SW-G5.1 3500 Surround Sound Speaker System.

Users can adjust volume and bass from the control panel on the subwoofer, the remote control, or from the included mini remote. Each speaker is already equipped to be hooked onto walls or placed where you please. Each speaker is outfitted with about 3 feet of wire meaning you won’t be able to stretch them out to far distances, but you can still set them up with some distance to get some great sound. The control options also include a standby and an AUX/5.1 CH switch function, which enables users to flip between gaming and listening to music with the push of a button, giving you full control.

On the front of the Subwoofer are two jacks. First, a 3.5mm jack is there for you to plug in your headphones as an alternate option. There is also an auxiliary jack that allows you to plug in your phone or mp3 device to play music on your sound system.

Features:

Total output power 80 watts (RMS)

6.5-inch driver delivers heart-thumping bass

Standby mode selection

Remote control for adjusting volume and bass

Headphone jack for private listening

Colorful LED indicator

2.0/2.1ch or 5.1ch input selection

Hook design to mount surround speakers on wall

Dual input for PC 5.1ch sound card, PC, MP3/CD player or TV audio devices

Final Reaction

The SW-G5.1 3500 is an amazing sound system to hook up to your TV or PC, leveling up your audio experience with powerful bass. The system has 5 satellite speakers that can be placed according to your needs. Gain an advantage in online multiplayer gaming by being able to hear the direction of your enemies’ footsteps clearly, enjoy the roar of the engine or music in racing games, or just sit back and play your favorite music for you and your friends to hear when you’re not watching some great movies on Blu-ray or Netflix.

While switching the speakers back and forth between my PC and TV was a bit tedious, since it only supports one input, I was enamored enough with the sound that it was worth it. Sure, I could have just left it on one of the two, but where’s the fun in that? My roommates love playing Black Ops II when the sound system is hooked up, but hate it when I am playing it at night since at full blast the whole house can hear it.

At $149.99 it’s a pretty good investment since it can be used for multiple audio options, and it has amazing sound quality.

Featuring a new art style and some really cute looking Pokemon, X and Y will also add tons of new features and goodies that will be announced between now and release. For now here are some of the new Pokemon that were shown off in the new trailer:

Who needs a bicycle when you have your new traveling companion, Gogoat. It’s a large Grass-type Pokemon you can ride on while enjoying the breeze without overworking your trainers poor legs like in previous games. Gogoat is also a reliable partner for battle for those evil water types that get in your way.

Last year we played around with the Braven 600, a wireless portable speaker compatible with bluetooth devices. It was sleek, sexy and especially loud for its small size, which made it fun when we took it with us to Comic-Con. The Braven 600 was awesome because not only did everyone look around to see where the music was coming from, but it also doubled as a phone charger simultaneously. It definitely led us to giving it a great score.

The BRV-1 was first shown at CES and was displayed in a way that really captures your attention (shown above), it looked cool and showed to be water resistant, but most importantly, how does it stand up when it comes to the most important features that people want?

Design

The BRV-1 isn’t sleek and sexy like the Braven 600 or its new bigger brother, the 800. Instead the BRV-1 is more rugged, as it has rubber controls and a harder shell plastic made to absorb some damage. On the back of the speaker is a sealed twistable cap which houses the USB output (where you can recharge), an audio input, battery life indicator and more.

Plenty of thought went into making sure everything is safe and secure for just about anywhere you can go. The small size and light weight make it easy to hide or carry around.

Features

The BRV-1 packs a lot into its small frame which include being shock absorbent, water resistant, and weather resistant. These are all nice to have, but the sound quality is enhanced with a 70mm subwoofer, making sure you can blast music anywhere. The BRV-1 also has the built-in noise canceling microphone, allowing you to make phone calls with a much louder and powerful speaker.

Doubling as portable USB charger makes it great, since you can still play music or chat on your phone while charging your compatible device without the need for anything else.

Performance

It boasts around 12 hours of battery life which seemed to fluctuate for me. It could go for 10 hours to 13 hours of constant music, and around 8-9 hours when I needed to charge my phone once. While the bass isn’t top of the line, you get some impressive sound at a pool party or BBQ, where everyone can hear and enjoy the music.

Durability

While the key selling point of the BRV-1 is the fact that it is water resistant and is great in different climates, the larger and bulkier BRV-1 is shock absorbent. It’s covered with a strong plastic coating along with rubber pieces making it more durable than 80% of the portable speakers on the market. So on any outing this is something you can carry around with confidence.

Final Reaction

The BRV-1 retails for $179.99, and while it isn’t the cheapest bluetooth speaker available, it is more than worth it anywhere you go. It being durable and water and temperature resistant are great reasons to get this over other similar products, since it will last a lot longer while taking some abuse. With amazing sound, great battery life and compatibility with just about anything with bluetooth, it’s definitely a speaker that we recommend.

Grade B+

With the addition of browser-based games like BattleSpace and Knights of the Sky, XSEED also has two MMORPG titles, Pandora Saga and Shin Megami Tensei, added to their library of games. They also now plan on adding a larger focus on mobile and online gaming.

Because of the new focus and addition of Atlus Online, XSEED will also be re-branding itself as Marvelous USA, but won’t affect any future releases, so Ys and The Legend of Heroes series still has a home.

Marvelous USA president and CEO Shinichi Suzuki had this to say:

Marvelous USA unifies our US operations under the global Marvelous brand while giving our customers top notch products and support for both traditional and online social and mobile games. Our XSEED Games console and PC brand will continue to offer the quality games and service for which it is known, and Marvelous Online gives us expanded reach into mobile and online social gaming markets.

Next week, one of the best Yu-Gi-Oh! sets in a long while will be released with Hidden Arsenal 7: Knight of Stars. While previous sets introduced a new set or added support to existing ones, HA7 introduces two new archtypes that will be powerful right out of the box with Evilswarm and Constellar decks.

There are also plenty of amazing cards in this set adding support to Gem-Knights, Fire decks, and more. There will be some really awesome and useful Secret Rares like Daigusto Emeral and Lavaval Chain, which can easily fit into any deck, while adding great support and power to your deck as well as plenty of other cards.

While important cards like Evilswarm Kerykeion, Constellar Sombres, Constellar Omega will be released in Lord of the Tachyon Galaxy set on May 11th, you can still run both a powerful Constellar and Evilswarm decks right away with some good pulls. People are already fearing Evilswarm Ophion, a XYZ monster that negates special summons of level 5 or higher monsters with no cost, as well as being a powerful 2550 monster making it tough to get over.

El Segundo, CA (April 18, 2013) – Battle lines have been drawn and the monsters are preparing to face off in Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc.’s (Konami) latest Yu-Gi-Oh! These cards were previously only available to Duelists in-store via the Duel Terminal arcade-style machines.

Gem-Knights, Gishki, Gusto, and Laval monsters are also bringing out their biggest creations yet, plus new Spell and Trap Cards to give them an edge against the Constellar and Evilswarm powerhouses.
