Disney+ is almost upon us, and one of the most highly anticipated original series from the streaming service is The Mandalorian. Lucasfilm brought Jon Favreau (Iron Man, Chef) on board to write and executive produce along with Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels). The streaming service has revealed the release dates and synopsis for the first three episodes of The Mandalorian.

The Mandalorian: Chapter 1 – Tuesday, November 12

“A Mandalorian bounty hunter tracks a target for a well-paying client.”

The Mandalorian: Chapter 2 – Friday, November 15

“Target in-hand, The Mandalorian must now contend with scavengers.”

The Mandalorian: Chapter 3 – Friday, November 22

“The battered Mandalorian returns to his client for reward.”

Synopsis: After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. “The Mandalorian” is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy, far from the authority of the New Republic.

Favreau and Filoni have also directed episodes, and they are joined by other directors including Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok, Jojo Rabbit), Bryce Dallas Howard (Jurassic World), Rick Famuyiwa (Dope), and Deborah Chow (Mr. Robot) also join as directors.

The series stars Pedro Pascal as the titular Mandalorian, Gina Carano as Cara Dune, Nick Nolte as Kuiil, Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon, Carl Weathers as Greef Carga, Emily Swallow, Omid Abtahi as Dr. Pershing, Werner Herzog as The Client, Taika Waititi as the voice of IG-11, Bill Burr, Mark Boone Junior, Ming-Na Wen as Fennec Shand, Natalia Tena, and Julia Jones as Omera.
