Enjoy horror movies at Street Food Cinema’s Cinema Phantasmagoria

It’s going to be the last weekend of October with Halloween coming next week. Street Food Cinema’s Cinema Phantasmagoria is currently running, and its goal is to screen creepy movies for horror fans. Located at the Million Dollar Theatre in downtown Los Angeles, it has already shown Halloween (1978), Hocus Pocus, A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984), Saw, Bram Stoker’s Dracula, and The Thing (1982). Up next are Shaun of the Dead,  Beetlejuice, The Conjuring, Sleepy Hollow, and The Nightmare Before Christmas.

There’s still time to check these movies out with an event happening on October 25, 26, 27, and 30. November 2 is the last day of the event. There are two screenings for the night, and guests will have the chance to experience the Backstage Ghost Tour every 15 minutes during the night. As for food, guests will be able to bring food from the Grand Central Market next door.

The Million Dollar Theater is over 100 years old and was opened by Sid Grauman (Grauman’s Theatre).

Check out the remaining films to be shown during Cinema Phantasmagoria.

  • October 25 – Shaun of the Dead 15th Anniversary
  • October 26 – Beetlejuice
  • October 27 – The Conjuring
  • October 30 – Sleepy Hollow (1999) 20th Anniversary
  • November 2 – The Nightmare Before Christmas

Cinema Phantasmagoria will feature an immersive and creepy atmosphere with ushers and musicians taking part, and the organization makes these nightly showings extra special. We had the chance to watch Home Alone during the Christmas events last year, and it featured Christmas lights, Christmas Carolers, food trucks, and Christmas sing-alongs with a musician.
