Experience The VOID’s Ghostbusters this Halloween season

The Void Ghostbusters

The Void takes immersion to the next level with free-roaming VR. You are strapped with a VR headset and gear, and you’ll be able to roam around physically on an actual set, where you can touch the walls and railings in front of you. Thanks to the haptic vest, you’ll feel the action too. It’s the Halloween season, and The Void has two spooky experiences for haunt fans including Nicodemus and Ghostbusters. We were invited out to check out Ghostbusters, one of the first VR experiences from The Void, and it was a fun ride as we were shooting ghosts left and right with our proton pack.

In The Void’s Ghostbusters: Dimensions, you’ll first be greeted by Dan Aykroyd, who played Ray Stantz in the classic films. You can team up with friends as you navigate an actual set while wearing a VR headset. There’s also a backpack that makes you feel like you’re wearing a proton pack. (It’s cleverly disguised to hide the laptop that runs the virtual world.)

Familiar creatures and ghosts will make an appearance including Slimer and the Stay Puft Marshmallow. With the haptic feedback, you’ll be able to feel the ghosts going through you. And if your friends are shooting you with their proton pack, you’ll feel that too. Capturing ghosts with the wand is exhilarating, as you get to feel like an actual Ghostbuster. The 4D experience amplifies the immersion; for example, you can smell marshmallows as you shoot Stay Puft.

Whatever you do, just don’t cross the streams.

The Void has more experiences from properties like Wreck-It Ralph and Star Wars. It has just released a new experience called Avengers: Damage Control, and you’ll get to become heroes like Iron Man and Black Panther.
