Remedy’s Control gets a launch trailer featuring Max Payne voice actor

Remedy Entertainment is the studio behind Max Payne, Alan Wake, and Quantum Break, and during Gamescom, it has released the launch trailer for its new game, Control. The third-person action-adventure game follows Jesse Faden, a new Director of the Federal Bureau of Control. And with her new responsibility, she’ll have all kinds of supernatural abilities like dashing in the air and moving objects in the air while giving us familiar gun gameplay Remedy is known for.

The cinematic trailer shows the craziness of the Old House, a place where almost anything can happen. Fans of Max Payne will be happy to know that James McCaffrey, the voice of Max Payne, has a meaty role in the new game.

Synopsis: After a secretive agency in New York is invaded by an otherworldly threat, players will take on the role of Jesse Faden, the new Director struggling to regain Control. This sandbox-style, gameplay-driven experience built on the proprietary Northlight engine challenges players to master a combination of supernatural abilities, modifiable loadouts and reactive environments while fighting through the deep and mysterious worlds Remedy is known and loved for.

Control will be released on Tuesday, August 27 on PlayStation, Xbox One, and Epic Games store on PC. Publisher 505 Games will be hosting a stream on Tuesday, August 27 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. PDT to help raise money for the St. Jude Children’s Hospital. For more info, visit
