Avengers: Endgame becomes best pre-selling movie of all time

Avengers: Endgame

Avengers: Endgame is the conclusion to Avengers: Infinity War, and fans are excited to see what’s going to happen to the surviving members of the Avengers and how they’re going to save the fallen. When the advanced tickets for Endgame went on sale, there were plenty of fans who had a hard time trying to get tickets. There’s even someone on eBay trying to sell tickets for $15,000. Atom Tickets has announced that Avengers: Endgame is the best presales title of all time on its service.

The previous title holder was Aquaman, which took 32 days to reach the top. For Avengers: Endgame, it only took 10 days to dethrone Aquaman as the best presale title of all time.

“The Avengers: Endgame phenomenal presales period has proven it is in a league of its own. The anticipation and excitement for this movie is simply unmatched and the only question is how much farther will presales climb with another two weeks to go,” said Matthew Bakal, chairman and co-founder of Atom Tickets. “We’re in awe of the creative work Marvel, Disney, the cast and crew have put into making Avengers: Endgame a global event for all Marvel fans to experience together as the final chapter comes to life in theaters.”

Avengers: Endgame first-week presales sold almost twice as many tickets than Aquaman, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Captain Marvel, and Avengers: Infinity War combined during their first-week presales. And you can bet your ass that the film is easily going to make over $1 billion. With Avengers: Infinity War making over $2 billion, it’s not hard to believe that Endgame will do the same. The real question is whether the film can beat the top dog, Avatar, which grossed $2.788 billion at the worldwide box office.

Atom Tickets did a survey, and Avengers: Endgame came out on top for “most anticipated movie,” “most anticipated superhero movie,” and “most anticipated ensemble cast.”

Synopsis: The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, “Avengers: Endgame.”

The film is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo from the screenplay by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely.

Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26, 2019.
