‘Aladdin’ latest trailer shows us the magic of Agrabah

It seems that amidst all the mumbles and grumbles fans had from the first trailer of the upcoming Disney remake, Aladdin, the brains over at Disney decided that fans needed a bit more to chew on for the upcoming release. Thus, this morning fans found themselves with a brand new trailer for the film!

In the latest trailer, we see a not-always-blue Genie, played by Will Smith, showcasing his talents as a singer and comedic actor, mimicking the role made famous by the late Robin Williams. We see many recognizable musical numbers, as well as familiar beats that we’ve seen prior in the animated classic. The jury is still out on how well this film will do with audiences, as the impact it’s already had seems pretty skewed. Check out the official synopsis below:

“A thrilling and vibrant live-action adaptation of Disney’s animated classic, Aladdin is the exciting tale of the charming street rat Aladdin, the courageous and self-determined Princess Jasmine and the Genie who may be the key to their future.”

Directed by Guy Ritchie, the film stars Mena Massoud, Naomi Scott, Marwan Kenzari, Navid Negahban, Nasim Pedrad, Billy Magnussen, Numan Acar, Alan Tudyk, and Will Smith as the iconic Genie.

Aladdin is set to return to our screens on the 24 May 2019.
